You Want Me To Spend How Much On A Wire? What?!
So, I'm not an audiophile, nor do I have a calibrated eye, but like most of you out there, I can tell when something doesn't sound great or look quite right. After working in this industry for the past seven plus years I've learned that while I can't tell you exactly why or pinpoint the problem with the sound or the picture, I can tell the difference when a system is set up with good cables and connectors. The topic of my blog today is on why it is important to choose good quality cables and connectors when installing your audio or video systems.
I read once that installing an audio or video system with poor quality cables is like buying a luxury sports car and then putting low end tires on it. It's not going to handle or perform very well and you will have just negated all of the benefits of buying a high performance vehicle. Well, I don't know about you, but if I'm going to buy something like a high performance vehicle or an entertainment system for myself and my family, I want it to perform the very best that it can. These high expectations can be met by making sure that your system is put together with quality cables and connectors.
