My daughter and I are getting ready to go on our annual "Thelma and Louise" trip this summer. Basically that means that it's just she and I taking a long road trip to somewhere while Jason stays home and minds the fort. We always look forward to taking this trip together, not only because it gets us out of the Arizona heat for a few days, but because it gives us a long stretch of time to talk and just be together. This year in preparation for our road trip, I had to get a few items taken care of on my car. What started as a "check right rear tire pressure" light, ended as a mad scramble to get my car in order to go on this trip. I ended up two days before we were supposed to leave running around to different tire shops to find one who could repair my air valve. The problem was that it was also connected to a sensor.
During my adventures in tires, I made a very interesting comparison between two companies in their ability to provide ME with good customer service. One company provided me with a detailed list of what they determined to be wrong and what it would take to correct the problems. The prices were listed and the timeline was made as clear as they could make it. Easy decision - just get it done, and I left feeling confident that it would done like they said it would be.
The second company was not quite as easy to work with. They gave me some of the same general information, but did not have the parts they needed in stock and weren't sure how long it would take them. They quoted me obscure numbers because they didn't know exactly what parts they would need until they "got in there". Another easy decision - going somewhere else!
That experience just got me to thinking about how we try to business here at Components. I know we're not perfect - we are human after all, but we strive to give each of you the best customer service as we can. We always try to communicate as clearly and effectively as we can, keeping everyone in the loop as to what is going on with their projects.
It is my hope that each of you has had a great experience in your interactions with our company and if you haven't we would like to do better for you in the future. Please be sure to tell us how we can better meet your needs. Have a great summer and stay out of the heat!
