Blog / Is That Ethical?
How important are business ethics to being an effective leader? According to the American Management Association, it is an important characteristic of effective leaders today. In a survey of 462 executives who were asked, “What characteristics are needed to be an effective leader today?” 56% voted ethical behavior as an important characteristic, followed by good judgment (51%) and being adaptable/flexible (47%).

I strongly believe it is much more than just  “important,” it is an “essential ” characteristic of an effective company. Components business ethics are strategic and great efforts are made each and every day to be ethic in all we do. Upon its conception Components  developed a set of core values and carefully executed policies and procedures manuals offering guiding principles for not only employees but its management.

Often times we find ourselves in the home of a customer who has been treated unethically by perhaps another contractor.  The customer can always remember that event with great detail.  Its always to their amazement they find we not only display our ethics as a management team but carry them thru to our employees.  Every customer we talk to, work with or even just consult with remember us.  Its our goal that they remember who we are and what they felt when they left our presence.  Did they feel we were honest?  Did we present ourselves in a professional manner?  Did we answer all their questions? All these things are important to us.  They have made Components what it is today.

Our goal is to have our customers experience the entire realm of what we have to offer.  From the initial call to the final installation 100% satisfaction is what we offer.  Our ethics offer a moral compass for us to be able to do so.  The next time you meet with a contractor ask yourself "do they offer the ethics I believe in?' Remember "Buy Components, Buy The Experience"
