Blog / Visiting Our Nation’s Capital
Our family has had the opportunity to visit our nation's capital this October.  What an amazing opportunity it has been to see the homes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.  As a nation there is so much to be proud of and so many amazing challenges that have been met and overcome.  When I think how far we have come as a nation I am overcome with the ingenuity, perseverance and creativity of those who have come before us.

It has caused me to stop and ponder what I have contributed to this great nation and my fellow citizens.  I think of what a great opportunity it is for my family to have the ability to take our knowledge and skills, to start a small business and have the opportunity to succeed based on our own hard work.  I am proud that Components is founded on some of those same principles that this country was also founded on.  I expect that you have experienced our commitment to delivering a quality product, superior workmanship and customer service and that we have done all we could to make your experience in working with us an enjoyable one.  We strive to be honest and fair in all our dealings.

I will have to add (just for fun) that some of the homes and visitor centers had some amazing video presentations.  I knew the ones that Jason would enjoy because of the quality of the presentation.  We tease him that he has a calibrated eye and an audiophile’s ear, so he's never happy unless it's of the highest quality video and audio presentation, but we learned so much.  I am constantly amazed at the technology that has progressed and where it is still progressing to.  Again, the ingenuity of those around us who are always trying to solve problems and improve what we already have.

I for one am so grateful to live in this nation where we have opportunities to work hard, progress, solve our own problems, overcome, and succeed.  I am grateful to my forefathers and the gift of freedom that they have given to me.  I am lastly grateful for all those who served with these great men and women to make our country what it is and hope that we will all continue to work together to make our country and communities what they could be.

Best Wishes,
Katie
