CCTV is the use of video cameras  to transmit a video signal to a specific place such as a TV monitor or a DVR(digital video recorder)..  The term CCTV is most commonly used in the the surveillance camera industry. CCTV is commonly used in locations of high security such as banks, stores, airports and casinos.

DVR's are most commonly associated with satellite and cable TV set-top boxes to be used with a television set. DVR's allow the recording and playback to and from a disk. DVR's are also commonly used in the CCTV(closed-circuit television) industry. With a DVR camera images can be recorded and played back from a hard drive disk.

HDMI is a digital audio/video interface for transmitting uncompressed digital data between a source devices and a TV display. Source devices   can be Blu-ray players, DVD players, cable boxes, satellite boxes and video game consoles. HDMI cables are the only cables that allow a 1080p high definition video signal.
